“I've decided to be normal. How hard can it be?”
MR. MELANCHOLY by Matt Cameron
Director: Morgan Clyne
Assistant Directors: Joseph Manning, Sydney Davies
March 13 to 15
Mr. Melancholy is a comic parable about a hermit, living with two other hermits, in a lighthouse without a light who blissfully collect the wreckage of ships that crash on their island's treacherous rocks.
The trio engage in senseless routines:
- Ollie, the lighthouse keeper, is stealing the beach bucket by bucket;
- Enzo, the caretaker, is growing a milk moustache and talking to a ventriloquist's dummy, and
- Margot is interested in marrying death-prone fish and watching dust settle.
When Dolores, a circus clown who only wants to be serious, washes up onto the beach – life begins to change.
Our senior acting class members will present this delightful, whimsical comedy with deftly witty dialogue as a short run season.
