A deliciously funny and sweetly dark play.
It’s My Party
(And I’ll Die If I Want To)
by Elizabeth Coleman
Director: Anne Robinson
Dates: November 19 to December 7, 2025
Ron Patterson has invited the kids around to be with him for his remaining 111 minutes as he attempts to tie up the loose ends of his life with a spread of party pies and pavlova. But all the long-held neuroses of this dysfunctional family come to light and his well-planned final party, with its tight agenda, completely unravels.
This comedy is inky black in its subject matter of imminent death, made hilarious by its absurdities and Ron’s frustrations, together with Dawn’s unrealistic, yet steadfast belief that family life is neat and tidy.
