About Us
We're an unfunded community theatre run by volunteers. Our aim is to entertain audiences by producing plays performed by adults, young adults and children while at the same time providing members with skills for life. Our theatre has a policy of active membership - because without active members we cannot meet our aims.

The talents and skills of members are used in many areas, such as the background work needed to put on a show - make-up, set construction, backstage work, publicity, wardrobe, newsletter production, casting, ushering and management.
Of course we also need actors, and auditions are held regularly. If you are not an actor but still wish to be involved, there are numerous areas where you can help and have fun.
Regular Working Bees each Saturday morning from 8am to noon. Maintenance of our 160 year old building and stage set building/dismantling is always needed at the end of each season.
All actors and volunteer workers must be members of the Maitland Repertory Theatre for insurance purposes.
Front of House, Ushering and Catering Roster

The theatre's Play Selection and Discussion Group meets regularly and considers plays for performance guided by the Play Selection Policy. You can download the Play Selection Policy here.
