Almost, Maine

Welcome to the fictitious town of "Almost, Maine".

Almost, Maine  by John Cariani

Director: Melody Thorburn

Assistant Director: Kathryn Piggott

Dates: September 16 to October 4, 2026

Almost, Maine . . . where wit and whimsy come together.

On a deeply cold midwinter night the townsfolk of Almost experience the life-altering power of the human heart. Under the mystical energy of the aurora borealis relationships begin, end and change immeasurably as strangers become friends, friends become lovers and lovers turn into strangers.

Almost, Maine is a series of 9 interlocking tales about love, with myriad characters who are humorous, plain-spoken, thoughtful, and sincere.

Meet adorable Glory who carries her broken heart in a brown paper bag, and endearing Gayle who decides to reclaim all the love she gave to Lendall who has failed to propose. Randy and Chad who find falling in love to be a bruising affair and many more.

Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is found and life for the people of Almost, Maine will never be quite the same.
