"A celebration of life and love"
Kiss Me Like You Mean It by Chris Chibnall
March 16 to 24
Tony and Ruth are young strangers who meet for the first time in a backyard at 3:00am. Don and Edie are an old couple, married for over 50 years. During the course of the play we get to know a lot about these two couples and their relationships - one just starting and one just ending.
Kiss Me Like You Mean It is about love - the beginning of a love and the end of a love. It is also about making the most of every opportunity that life presents us with. While it deals with what could be a dark theme the play is topical, full of humour and touchingly optimistic.
Chris Chibnall wrote the play when he was at the start of a relationship, hoping it would continue; two years later he was married to the girl who inspired the play.
Kiss Me Like You Mean It is a celebration of love and life; it examines the nature of love, how it can start and change in the course of an enduring relationship.
