“If music be the food of love, play on.
Give me excess of it that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.”
Shakespeare's Twelfth Night
Director: Alexander Simpson
August 14 to 29
Twelfth Night follows the story of Viola, who is separated from her twin brother in a storm. Washing up in the foreign land of Illyria, she assumes the identity of a man for her safety, and enters into the service of a nobleman. Her attempt at secrecy, however, leads her into a love triangle, and she gets caught in the crossfire of persistent suitors, brawling fools, and her own complicated feelings.
Set in the wild festivities of the twelve nights after Christmas, this fast paced comedy of misunderstandings explores our connection to identity, and how we navigate our own strange journeys of love.
